A prolific essayist and poet, her work appears online in publications including <i>BuzzFeed<\/i>, <i>xoJane<\/i>, <i>Everyday Feminism,<\/i> et <i>Autostraddle<\/i>; and in print in <i>Asian American Literary Review<\/i>, <i>Plenitude,<\/i> et <i>Matrix Magazine<\/i>, among others. Her first collection of poetry, <i>a place called No Homeland,<\/i> will be published by Arsenal Pulp Press in Spring 2017.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #303030;\">Thom is also the author of Metonymy Press&#8217;s forthcoming novel\u00a0<i><strong>Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars: A Dangerous Trans Girl&#8217;s Confabulous Memoir<\/strong>,<\/i> a playful, yet piercing, surrealist dance through queer coming of age that shatters expectations and pieces them back together into a razor-sharp mosaic. The book\u00a0is\u00a0<strong>scheduled for release in early November<\/strong> of this year.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #303030;\">Over the next couple of months, we&#8217;ll be sharing clips from an interview with the author, where she discusses\u00a0everything from the sticky business of self-publishing\u00a0to how she hopes to challenge the\u00a0traditional transgender memoir genre. In this first instalment, Thom\u00a0explains her inspiration for writing <em>Fierce Femmes<\/em>, a story that she says honours and pokes fun at every queer anarchist fuck-the-system fantasy while
