Largely written before the current cultural visibility of trans lit, Lyric Sexology Vol. 1 <\/i>was Salah\u2019s prescient contribution to a canon of self-determined literature that explores transness. Born in Halifax \/ Kjipuktuk in Mi\u2019kma\u2019ki, Trish Salah<\/strong> is the author of the Lambda Award\u2013winning poetry collection Wanting in Arabic<\/em> and of Lyric Sexology Vol. 1<\/em>, and co-editor of a special issues of TSQ: Transgender Studies Quarterly<\/em>, on cultural production, and Arc Poetry<\/em> Magazine<\/em>, featuring trans, non-binary and Two Spirit writers. At the University of Winnipeg she organized the conferences Writing Trans Genres: Emergent Literatures and Criticism and Decolonizing and Decriminalizing Trans Genres. An associate professor of Gender Studies at Queen\u2019s University, she also edits the Journal of Critical Race Inquiry<\/em>. She lives in Tkaronto in the traditional and unceded territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit River, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples.<\/p>\n
