Share an office with us!

Metonymy is a Montreal-based press that publishes literary fiction and nonfiction by emerging writers. We try to reduce barriers to publishing for authors whose perspectives are underrepresented in order to produce quality materials relevant to queer, feminist, and social justice communities.

Metonymy stands in solidarity with Canada Post workers on strike! Find out the latest news and ways to show your support via the union's website.

Throughout the duration of the strike, we will not be shipping orders that would otherwise be transported by Canada Post. That means any web orders to addresses within Canada, but off the island of Montreal, will be on hold until the strike ends. We will continue to ship to addresses in the United States as well as offer local pickup and delivery for Montreal orders.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please get in touch if you have any questions. And don't forget to check out the "shop local" buttons on our product pages in order to find the indie bookstore closest to you carrying the book you're looking for.
