On March 14, Lambda Literary announced its 29th annual list of finalists, honouring nominees chosen from nearly 900 submissions spanning 23 categories of LGBTQ literature. Metonymy Press was recognized with two nominations, both for best transgender fiction.
The jury, consisting of booksellers, book reviewers, librarians, authors, academics, and previous Lammy winners and finalists, selected Small Beauty by jia qing wilson-yang and Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars: A Dangerous Trans Girl’s Confabulous Memoir by Kai Cheng Thom alongside Meredith Russo’s If I Was Your Girl (Flatiron Books).
We’re overjoyed to be recognized amongst so many incredible writers and publishers, and we couldn’t be more proud of Kai Cheng and jia qing.
